Since the drop of my pagerank from 1 to 0, i have never given any second thought to the subject of Google pagerank. I hardly ever checked, and maybe never made any efforts to climb higher. Did I really need any efforts to push up the pagerank? Yeah! Contrary of just thinking that pagerank comes naturally, Uncle Che told me I have to link to other (relevant) sites and blogs and also have them link back to me. I am not good at this, but I understood his lecture of good content and quality backlinks that build up pagerank very fast.

This morning, when I check the most recent post “Not At Home For The New Year” I saw one comment from a new reader Shy. When. I read her latest post, she did talk about  the pagerank of her blog being 3. Oh my! Have I ever checked mine? Never. I opened firefox and type “google pagerank checker” on the address bar and I was taken to prchecker.info. When I typed and submitted my blog’s url, i crossed my fingers and was praying for PR 1. To my surprise, I saw 4. Is this a mistake? I tried about 1 hr later and it was still the same. Now, it is more than 12hrs and it is still at 4. Wow! I guess it is really 4.

For this pagerank juice I got from Google, I thank all my faithful readers and commenters and all those who liked to me, especially during the Lainy’s Birthday Bash Contest. A millon thanks to Lainy. I am not good at chasing links and never dream of a pr of more than 1, but her contest came in as the magic pill.

With a PR4, I know I will be tempted to do lots of paid reviews, but I will try as much as possible to shunt it. I know Google is very unpredictable and my next PR can be 0. I don’t pray for that :).

This PR has really increase my appetite for blogging, and now, though I am still a little busy at school, I think two posts a day won’t kill me. I also plan putting in some more time planning and designing BLOGGRESS. As Lainy always puts it, “thank God Uncle Che is there”, he he he.
